The Company
Columba Global Systems (Columba) is an Irish company built on specialist domain experience in the provision of sophisticated information technology solutions. In particular, solutions as relate to Rapid Search & Retrieve, Rapid Application Development and Expressive Objects based user interfaces. The integration of these features is represented in Columba's unique exprimer® architecture, on which the company base their Total Data Fusion solution set.
A New Generation of Intelligence Driven Applications
Columba have made it possible to 'federate' and intelligently 'fuse' a large number of data sources into a meaningful and consistent view for a range of industries, in particular, Homeland Security, eGovernment, Airline/Transportation, Health, Media, Telecommunications and Finance.
Over 80% of potentially useful data resides outside of the organisation in public domain or OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) sources and formats. These include web-based news sources, blogs, broadcasting feeds and archives, podcasts and a rapidly expanding number of sources across the web and 'hidden web' and moreover, in a variety of languages. The 'federation' and 'fusion' of the totality of this data, in combination with existing in-house or legacy systems data, delivers powerful new capabilities within an organisation, particularly those requiring a 'Single View' of the Customer, Product or Target.
Columba's approach to Intelligent Data Fusion uses both its own proprietary technology - exprimer® - as well as providing integration across the products of other specialist vendor partners within a Data Fusion Global Technology Alliance.
The approach taken enables consolidation of a universe of data within a rapid search and retrieve environment - whether the requested data is contained across silos in the organisation or permeating the universal OSINT environment - irrespective of language and format. A corner-stone of the exprimer® approach is the usage of an internationally accepted interoperability standard - ISO 23950.
